Sundarbans

Having not had a holiday for several days, it was time to head to the Sundarbans, the mangrove forest on the south coast, for a three day boat trip. The emphasis was very much on sitting on the boat, being fed constantly. Disappointingly there were no tiger attacks.

Workwise the data has all come in and I'm checking it for inconsistencies. There are lots. Trying to plan a quick set of interviews in small slums, which may have different characteristics to the very large slums where the survey was done. Still thinking about the camera idea.

Shame about the lack of tiger attacks. Is that what the gun was for? Btw, Sightsavers gave some cameras to children in Bangladesh a couple of years ago. Children who had had cataract surgery as part of the Bangladesh Child Cataract Campaign were given cameras and asked to record their favourite things, after having their sight restored. I think the photos were shown in an exhibition in London. You'll probably find it on the internet if you google or I can get you more info if it will be useful. Take care. Don't work too hard before your next holiday!
